In 2010, the DVD "Everyday Climate Protection in School - How students can save energy" was released. The educational film, designed for secondary school classes, shows how students can become active in their schools to save energy and protect the climate. The most important information, educational activities and technical measures were developed by IFEU along with numerous schools and are presented in the 23 minute video. IFEU also took over the professional design and consulting of the project. The filming location was the Heidelberg International Comprehensive School (IGH) which for years has been very active in climate protection and is thus known beyond the limits of Heidelberg, Baden-Wuerttemberg and even Germany. Professional actors were not really needed since students proved to be authentic performers that could present solutions to the local problems of climate protection.
The DVD "Everyday Climate Protection in School - How students can save energy" also contains comprehensive and interactive exercises. It can be borrowed free of charge by teachers in state, county and city media centers in Baden-Wuerttemberg. An online application can also be used through the educational media centers. The DVD can be purchased here (FWU media shop). The linked website includes additional information as well as a preview of the video. |
